Creating icons seems simple. They are so small, but it’s in their smallness that the challenge lies. I’ve been creating icons for GOLFPAC®, Inc. for use in web or print.
Please don’t ask me for a free download of these icons. I don’t work for free, do you?
I had particular trouble with the clubhouse. The clubhouse kept looking like a cross between a garage, a dog house, and a church. I finally think it reads as a clubhouse.

Of the Hotel icons, the most challenging for me was the swimmer and the “whirlpool”. The swimmer was hard to get the waves to look convincing. The whirlpool just looked like a guy in a coffee cup, until I added the second person and reversed out the water. The knife and fork were deceptively hard to render because the fork tines are so small—I had to increase the space in between so they didn’t blend together.
